Staff Bios
While SuperMotors is a full-time online business, it is run part-time by its three owners, Eric Long, Kirk Hemmen, and Elliot Brody. Eric, Kirk, and Elliot each manage full-time employment while juggling their evening hours and weekends with the demands of SuperMotors.
Eric Long
CEO, President
Eric is the Web Marketing Manager for Levolor Window Fashions, a manufacturer of window blinds, shades, and drapery hardware based in High Point, North Carolina. Eric works with product marketing, marketing communications, customer support, and others within the organization to plan, develop, and execute a world-class window covering website. His dominant focus is to support the Levolor marketing strategy via the website, however he is also involved in helping implement B2B eBusiness applications and guiding online marketing and advertising intiatives, SEO, and overall online strategy for Levolor.com.
Previously, Eric was employed as the Director of Interactive and IS for Met|Hodder, a production company based in Minneapolis, MN and Burbank CA, where he had been for 8 years. Eric successfully managed interactive projects for clients such as ABC Television, Target Corporation, FX Networks, Rock the Vote, Better Life Media, and Babe Winkelman Productions while at Met|Hodder.
As CEO and President of SuperMotors, Eric provides the vision for the company both from a feature and services standpoint as well as from a client-servicing standpoint. His background in online marketing and strategy, website development, project management, and client service -- combined with his passion for automobiles -- is the foundation of SuperMotors' service offerings and the relationships built with individual enthusiasts, clubs, organizations, and advertisers.
Eric graduated from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN with a BA in Management Information Systems and a Minor in Business Administration.

Elliot Brody
CFO
Elliot, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of SuperMotors, attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree majoring in finance, investments, and banking. While pursuing his degree, Elliot frequented the Dean's list and was an active member of the Finance and Investment Society.
During his college career he worked for several companies taking on various accounting responsibilities. It was at this time that Elliot worked for one of the country's leading legal publishing corporations as an intern where he began managing projects and interfacing with upper management.
After college Elliot was hired by one of the leading grocery distribution and retail companies in the United States. In a company with over 50,000 employees, Elliot was hired into an accounting and finance rotational program where he was part of a team of 4 to 5 people at any given time. During his rotation, Elliot worked on several large group projects. In particular, he worked with other members of the rotational program in conjunction with IT to develop a relational database for the rotation program. He also headed up projects where he was responsible for presenting to upper management and large numbers of employees at regular quarterly-update meetings.
Elliot transitioned into a permanent position within the company after gaining the necessary experience with accounting and finance initiatives. He continued his leadership role by managing and coordinating projects and working with others to resolve reporting issues. Today, Elliot is a supervisor and is responsible for reconciling multi-million dollar accounts and frequently works on a number of large-scale projects.
As CFO of SuperMotors, Elliot's responsibilities include maintaining the financial initiatives of the business, helping execute the vision of the organization, assisting with sales, and maintaining customer relationships.

Kirk Hemmen
CTO
Kirk, Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of SuperMotors, got his programming start in his grade school days on a Tandy 1000 computer. His passion for development has enabled him to become fluent in several programming languages such as C++, SQL, ASP, PHP, ColdFusion, HTML, DHTML/Javascript, XML, Visual Basic, and CSS.
While pursuing his degree at North Dakota State University, Kirk was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma national honor society and participated in nationwide programming competitions with great success. After earning his BS in Computer Science and graduating with honors, Kirk was immediately hired by a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology company to assist in building the organization's intranet for several hundred employees. Quickly, his responsibilities shifted to client-related projects so the firm could take advantage of his expertise to build and manage a lead data transfer system for a major automotive manufacturer and a robust decisions system for a global telecommunications corporation.
Kirk eventually changed employers and began working for an interactive web solutions company. His responsibilities included database design decisions, developer training, and programming. Working closely with management, Kirk worked as a technical lead for every major project to ensure direction of software development maintained certain standards for both clients and the organization. These standards were based upon the usability of all software products built in-house, the interaction between the community of users interfacing with the products, and the efficiency in which data was stored, retrieved, and delivered to the end-user. The bulk of the interactive, web-based projects were built around the promotion and branding of a billion-dollar boat manufacturer and the events and tournaments the organization sponsors and hosts.
Kirk's responsibilities as CTO of SuperMotors will be to ensure all software development meets certain design, usability, and efficiency standards as well as stay on top of new programming, interactive, and relational database technologies and trends. His passion for development, ability to grasp new programming methods, thorough understanding of relational database theory, and love for automobiles make him a vital asset to the SuperMotors management team.
